Chapter 1

The night sky is dark, with only a sliver of the moon shining down, as Raven takes her wolf Emerald out for a run in the woods. The silence is interrupted by Emerald’s warning that someone is approaching, and they quickly head deeper into the woods to escape detection. Raven knows that their pack is not friendly with the nearby Blood Walker pack, led by Alpha Cole Walker, who is known for his brutal methods.

As they make their escape, Emerald warns Raven that their fate will be decided by a choice she will soon make. Raven is already aware that the pack dislikes her, treating her with disrespect and hate, while her twin sister Reagan is cherished and admired. Chapter 2

Raven’s heart ripped apart as she discovered her mate, Justin Evans, making out with her sister Reagan. The revelation was like a punch to the gut, and Raven felt physically sick. She didn’t know if she could ignore the fact that her mate was seemingly in love with her sister, who had been secretly dating him for months. She mindlinked her dad, who was furious that Raven was out of bounds, and planned to use the occasion to force Justin to reject Raven. Reagan’s goal was to make sure Raven suffered a painful rejection, hoping it would be fatal.

In a flashback, Reagan recalled bullying Raven in the 9th grade, pushing her down and belittling her in front of Kristen, her best friend. Reagan has always hated Raven, believing she doesn’t deserve to be in the pack and that her birthright as Luna of the Silver Blade pack belongs to her, not Raven. Reagan has been working with her father to ensure she becomes the pack leader, and in his opinion, Raven’s death would be beneficial for the pack’s relationships. Reagan’s hatred for Raven is rooted in her jealousy and insecurity, and she will stop at nothing to make sure Raven never becomes the pack’s leader.

Chapter 5

I waited for my parents and the warriors to shift back into their human form before revealing my secret. I knew they would be furious that I had left my room and the packhouse, and I wanted to take advantage of their human form to share my discovery with them. I had been hiding the fact that I had a wolf, and my parents had never included me in the pack link because they thought I didn’t have one. My friend Emerald had helped me keep my scent hidden, which allowed me to keep my secret safe.

As we approached the border of the Blood Walker territory, I could see more warriors coming to try and stop us. My father had linked them, and they didn’t usually patrol in this area. We had to decide what to do next – the fence blocking the border was 6 feet high, and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to jump it. I mindlinked Emerald, asking if she could see the fence and if we could jump it, and if we should change our direction instead. We needed to be free of this pack and start a new life, but it was getting harder to do so with the warriors closing in on us.

Chapter 6

Beta Timothy receives a mind link from warriors at the Silver Blade pack border, reporting a rogue black wolf that has jumped the fence and entered Blood Walker pack lands. The rogue wolf, a large black female, has argued with Alpha Sullivan and his family, and the warriors are waiting for instructions. Beta Timothy, acting Alpha, phases into his wolf form and heads out with three warriors to investigate. They arrive at the scene, and Timothy finds that the rogue wolf is actually a young girl who claims to be Alpha Sullivan’s daughter.

Chapter 7

Justin’s wolf, Lorne, is furious with him for sleeping with Reagan, his true mate, Raven’s sister, when he should be with Raven. Justin had made a deal with Reagan to be her mate, but Lorne is adamant that Raven is the right one for him. Meanwhile, Raven has been hurt in a fall from a tree and is lying unconscious. Justin is consumed with guilt and shame for his actions, and Lorne is angry with him for breaking Raven’s heart.

Justin tries to justify his decision to himself, thinking that he can still make Raven see the value of being his girlfriend and that she’ll eventually stop being mad at him. Chapter 8

I’m trembling with fear as I try to stay hidden from the Blood Walker pack, who have discovered me on their land. I’m relieved that they haven’t attacked me, but I’m terrified that my parents’ pack, the Silver Blade, will come after me. I’m grateful for Emerald’s support and trust in the Blood Walker pack, but I’m determined to get away from both packs and live in the human world. I’m sick of being bullied and mistreated by my own pack.

As I’m trying to sneak away, a deep voiceStarts me running, and I jump into a nearby stream. Before I can catch my breath, I see four men, including the intimidating Beta Timothy, standing in front of me. I’m overwhelmed with fear, but Beta Timothy reassures me that I’m safe and will stay with his family at the packhouse. I’m hesitant to trust these strangers, but I comply with their wishes and follow them to the packhouse, trying to stay on guard and waiting for an opportunity to escape.

Chapter 9

Alpha Graham Sullivan is furious as he realizes the truth about his mate, Cassandra, and their daughter, revealing a shocking secret that has been hidden for 18 years. He feels betrayed and angry, lashing out at Cassandra for not telling him the truth. Cassandra tries to calm him down, reminding him that he was the one who approached her and not the other way around. Chapter 10

Raven, the protagonist, is invited to a sleepover at Stella’s room on the 5th floor. As they head up to the elevator, Raven realizes that she’s been defeated, knowing that the top two floors can only be accessed by thumbprints. Stella’s room is bright and cheerful, unlike Raven’s own room which is painted white with minimal furniture. Raven is jealous of Stella’s room, which has a ton of furniture, a pretty comforter, and a huge bathroom with a tub.

Chapter 11

I got a call from my Beta, Timothy, at 6 am informing me of a problem in the pack. He rarely calls me for anything serious, so I immediately got out of bed to take the call. We were on a family visit to Minnesota to celebrate our oldest son’s 18th birthday and to let him check if his mate was in the pack. As we got ready to leave, Timothy told me that there had been an issue at the border with Silver Blade and that he had threatened to kill Alpha Sullivan. I was shocked and my world came crashing down. I realized that my worst fears for the last 18 years had been true.

Olivia tried to calm me down as I struggled to process the news. She took the phone from me and spoke to Timothy, finding out more about the situation. I could tell by her reaction that it was bad news. She rubbed my back and gave me a hug to try and calm me down. We quickly packed up and left with Olivia’s father, David, who had kindly offered to take us to the airfield. I was grateful for his help, but my mind was reeling with thoughts of my daughter and the pain I had been trying to keep inside for so long.

Chapter 12

I heard a powerful voice yelling out for me, causing me to panic and feel like I was going to be dealing with the Alpha. Stella and Amanda touched my hand, trying to calm me down, but I was too far gone. Beta Timothy explained that the Alpha just wanted to meet me and that I wasn’t in trouble. He went to get the Alpha, and I was left to try and calm down. I didn’t want to see the judgey looks I usually get, so I had asked the Beta family if we could sit in a dark corner of the dining room. It was almost lunchtime, and I had already seen Joshua that morning. He was already giving me the stink eye, and I was glad when Timothy sent him away on an errand.

I was ushered towards the elevator and headed back up to the Beta level. When we reached the floor, we saw the door to the Alpha’s office standing open, and I heard voices inside. I was worried that the Alpha personally wanted to see me. Amanda told me that we would be speaking in their room, and I nodded, even though my heart was pounding. As we entered the room, I saw the Beta’s family, including their children, who looked around my age. The teenagers, who were the Alpha’s children, smiled at me, and I couldn’t help but smile back. The air was tense, but Amanda reassured me that if I was going to be hurt, I would have been taken to the cells, not to the Beta’s home. The Alpha spoke up, asking me my name and how I came to be on their land. I told them my name was Raven and that I had left the Silver Blade pack, seeking a way to get away from them.

Chapter 13

Alpha Cole’s daughter, Raven, has been brought to the pack hospital after being found unconscious. He is furious to see how malnourished and unmuscled she is, blaming the Silver Blade pack for her mistreatment. Cole wants to speak to Raven privately about her past, but first, he needs to calm his wolf, Flint, who is accusing Joshua of mistreating Raven. Joshua has apologized for his behavior, but Cole thinks Raven needs to speak to him about it. Cole is worried about Raven’s health and well-being, and wants to make sure she gets the help she needs.

As Raven starts to come around, Cole asks the kids to leave the room, except for Carter, who brought him a coffee. Cole tells Joshua that his apology is more important to Raven than to him, and that he needs to speak to her about his behavior. I know Cole, the alpha of the Blood Walker pack, has returned from his vacation and is likely planning to punish us for keeping his child, Raven, away from him. He has accused us of hiding his daughter and an investigation has been launched by the werewolf council. I’ve made sure to cover our tracks and protect our pack, but I know things are going to get ugly soon.

I call a family meeting to discuss the situation and try to get everything in order before the council arrives. I reflect on how we got to this point, starting with my decision to take Cassandra as my mate and create a pack of our own. I realize now that I should have asked who her true mate was before making the deal, but I’m convinced that I would have made the same choice anyway. I’ve been trying to limit Raven’s freedom and prevent her from leaving the pack, as I’m concerned for her safety and don’t want her to become a murderer like Reagan, my chosen mate. I’ve also been trying to prepare Justin, the man I’ve chosen as Reagan’s mate, for his role as her protector after they’re mated.

Chapter 15

Timothy told Alpha Cole that he and others witnessed Raven’s arrival at Blood Walker, and they heard everything that happened that morning. Cole’s mate, Raven, had omitted that she caught Justin and Reagan having s$x, which led to her passing out and falling from a tree. Timothy also revealed that the Alpha, Luna, and Reagan had threatened to kill Raven if she didn’t return to Silver Blade with them, and that they had planned to harm or eliminate her if she didn’t come back.

Cole, Carter, and Joshua had a meeting to discuss what happened, and Carter and Joshua apologized for their actions. Carter explained that he had been led by fear of losing his birthright and had let others’ opinions cloud his judgment. Joshua said he was wrong to assume things without proof and vowed to learn from his mistake. Cole was skeptical but accepted their apologies, and Carter offered to make amends by going to the mall with Raven and Stella to ensure their safety. Stuart and Amanda, Raven’s friends, were present and seemed to approve of the developments.
