Synopsis

The Day I Kissed An Older Man by Cher the Cherished revolves around this girl Corinne, right, who gets set up on this blind date she’s totally not feeling.

So, like, instead of just being polite and letting the guy down easy, Corinne decides to make a statement, you know? She sees this older, super attractive dude nearby and just plants one on him – can you believe that? Talk about a power move! I mean, I probably wouldn’t have the guts to do something that bold, but you gotta respect the moxie.

Anyway, that’s the gist of it – Corinne stirring up some drama to get out of an awkward situation.

Kinda makes me wonder what other wild stunts she’s got up her sleeve, you know?

Chapter 1

Corinne Carew, a young woman in her late 30s, was forced by her stepmother Lilliana Reece to attend a matchmaking session. There, she encountered a middle-aged man who made condescending remarks about her appearance and his expectations for a submissive wife. Corinne, frustrated, decided to embarrass the man by kissing a tall stranger in the cafe. However, the stranger turned out to be a handsome and stern-looking man, whose subordinate informed him of a change in his engagement plans. The man’s grandfather had threatened him to get engaged and married within a short time frame, or else face consequences.

Chapter 2

Corinne was forced to attend a matchmaking session and ended up getting engaged to a man named Jeremy, much to the dismay of the other guests. Despite her deliberately dressing in an unfashionable manner, Jeremy seemed unconcerned about the negative reactions. During the engagement ceremony, three wealthy women confronted Corinne, questioning her worthiness as Jeremy’s fiancée. Corinne responded by mocking their fashion sense, infuriating the women. When they refused to let her leave, Corinne resorted to physical violence, knocking two of them unconscious. Jeremy’s friend Zeke observed the incident and remarked that he now understood why Jeremy chose Corinne, noting her impressive strength and courage.

Chapter 3

Corinne provided Marvin with information that revealed the men Lilliana had chosen for her were much older and had poor jobs.

Marvin confronted Lilliana, who tried to blame the matchmaker, but Corinne called her out on not verifying the information.

Marvin then suspended Lilliana’s credit card and told her to stay home and reflect on her actions.

After Marvin left, Corinne told Lilliana that she had given the men Sherlyn’s contact information, infuriating Lilliana.

Later that night, a group of men led by Tommy arrived at the house, revealing that their employer, Jeremy Holden, had proposed to Corinne and sent betrothal gifts.

Lilliana was shocked by this, as she had been hoping Jeremy would be interested in her daughter Sherlyn instead.

Chapter 4

Sherlyn was surprised to learn that an anonymous fan had sent her a diamond ring, which Lilliana believed was from Jeremy Holden, a wealthy businessman, who was trying to win Sherlyn’s heart. Corinne returned home with a framed photo of her mother, but Sherlyn snatched it and dropped it, angering Corinne. Sherlyn boasted about Jeremy’s affection for her and the betrothal gifts he had sent, warning Corinne not to touch them. Corinne then hinted that the Holdens might not accept Sherlyn, a scandal-tainted celebrity, as their future daughter-in-law, causing Sherlyn to reconsider her decision to continue acting.

Chapter 5

Jeremy caught Corinne trying to sneak away from the Holdens’ wedding entourage. He grabbed her by the neck, but was surprised when she turned around, revealing an ugly appearance. Corinne had disguised herself to avoid Jeremy, but he noticed the Holdens’ engagement ring on her finger. Jeremy explained that the ring could not be removed easily, and confronted Corinne, realizing she did not want to marry him. Corinne suggested that her sister Sherlyn could marry Jeremy instead, but he insisted on marrying the woman wearing his engagement ring.
