Synopsis

Chapter 1

Kylie’s world is turned upside down as she watches her husband, Alpha Graham, dance and kiss his high school sweetheart, Zoe, at their two-year wedding anniversary party. The air is thick with awkwardness as everyone steals glances at Kylie, who stands by, stunned and heartbroken. “You don’t look good, Luna Kylie,” Ginger says, passing her a glass of lemonade, as Kylie tries to hold back tears. Zoe’s presence is a harsh reminder that she is Graham’s first love, and her return has thrown Kylie’s life into chaos.

As Graham and Zoe grow closer, Kylie’s emotions reach a boiling point. “You are gorgeous, Zoe!” Graham exclaims, leaving Kylie feeling humiliated and sidelined. As Alpha Logan and Graham go inside, Kylie peeks out of her window again, seeing Zoe standing outside with the warriors. Kylie wears a stunning golden silk gown, paired with a yellow amethyst necklace and earrings, and walks into the main hall with confidence and courage. As she enters, an awkward silence falls, and all eyes are on her, including Graham’s and Zoe’s. Graham stares at her with admiration and lust, while Zoe looks like she’s eaten vinegar. Kylie ignores them and scans the room for Alpha Logan, finding him at the end of the hall, looking handsome in gray trousers and a navy buttoned-up shirt.

As she approaches him, his warriors part to let her through, and she bows to him lightly, saying, “Alpha Logan, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Alpha Logan responds with a lopsided smile, “Believe me, pleasure is all mine, Luna Kylie.” Kylie asks to have a private conversation with him, and he agrees, leading her to a room upstairs. There, she explains her situation and asks for his help in getting out of her marriage and gaining control of her pack. Alpha Logan listens intently, swirling his whiskey, and responds, “I can do that, little wolf, but what will I receive in exchange for my favors?” Kylie is taken aback, and her mouth drops as she tries to process his request.

Alpha Logan walks closer to her, his scent of cedar and musk washing over her, and says, “If I help you, you have to give something in return. And… I want you.” Kylie jerks her head back, aghast, and says, “Alpha Logan!” He then explains that he wants her to sign a contract to be his Luna for a year in exchange for his help. Kylie is shocked and feels bamboozled, but Alpha Logan hands her the documents and tells her to read and sign them by the next morning, saying, “Yes, because I’m leaving tomorrow morning. With you.”
